LOT Polish Airlines and Viasat, a world leader in satellite communications, announced that Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft will be equipped with the Viasat Ka-band on-board connectivity solution, providing internet access on board the national carrier.

“LOT is constantly striving to provide passengers with exceptional experiences at every stage of their journey, which we prove by announcing new projects and new products,” added Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of the Product Development and Customer Experience Office at LOT Polish Airlines, in a press release. Internet connectivity will appear on board aircraft as early as 2026. It is to include broadband data transmission, which will provide passengers with high-speed internet.
