Microsoft’s Major Failure. Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski Reassures

On the night from Thursday to Friday, Microsoft experienced a serious server failure. Users around the world had trouble accessing Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services. The problem also affected companies. Many airports and airlines had to ground their planes. Sky News was unable to broadcast from the morning, and the Australian telecommunications operator Telstra also had problems.

The outage was almost completely fixed by Friday morning. However, not all servers have been restored, so some users may still experience problems.

Currently, critical infrastructure systems in Poland are operating smoothly. The global failure of Microsoft systems is being monitored by Polish cybersecurity services. We will provide ongoing information on the situation, and at the moment there is no reason to worry
