Microsoft outage affects work of the 2024 Paris Olympics organizing committee
A global technical failure in Microsoft Corporation services has affected the work of the organizing committee for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Le Parisien reports, citing a statement from the organizing committee.
The organizing committee confirmed that the incident had impacted IT operations. “Our specialists are working to reduce the impact of the accident on operations. At the same time, we have decided to activate our contingency plans to ensure operations continue,” the statement said.
The global Windows outage has affected the airline, media and banking industries. Microsoft said it was working to stabilize services.
Earlier it was reported that the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, scheduled for July 26, was on the verge of disruption. The Union of Performing Artists of France announced a strike due to working conditions.
