Apple warns users in 98 countries about hacker attack
Apple has sent out notifications to users around the world about the high risk of a hacker attack. This was noted by TechCrunch.
The company warned owners of its services and gadgets from 98 countries. “Apple has detected that you are being attacked using spyware that is attempting to remotely hack the iPhone associated with your Apple ID,” the message said.
The notice also noted that the hacker attack could be linked to the activity of a specific user. “Please take the warning seriously,” the message said.
The publication’s journalists recalled that the last time Apple warned users about the attack was in April. At that time, the corresponding notifications were received by owners of gadgets of the American brand from 92 countries.
Apple has been sending warning notifications to its users since 2021. Over the past three years, owners of iPhones and other devices in 150 countries have received such messages.
At the end of June, a well-known hacker nicknamed IntelBroker announced an attack on Apple and the theft of confidential company data. IntelBroker is associated with attacks on AMD, Zscaler, General Electric, AT&T and a number of government agencies in the US and Europe.
