At the conference in Milan, realme presented its latest smartphone GT 6, which is intended to compete with more expensive devices from competing manufacturers. It must be admitted that – at least on paper – the Chinese smartphone looks like a flagship.
The design of the device itself, especially its back, attracts attention. Even though they are covered with glass, they do not collect fingerprints and are scratch-resistant. Importantly, there is no large convex island with a camera here, and the three main camera lenses protrude directly from the smartphone housing.
Realme GT 6 is equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1264×2750 and a pixel density of ~450 ppi. As befits an organic matrix, we can count on infinite contrast and deep black. The real gamechanger, however, is the brightness of this panel. The manufacturer boasts that in HBM mode it is 1,600 nits. In turn, the peak brightness is – a trifle – a record 6,000 nits. According to realme, we are dealing here with the brightest display in the history of smartphones.

Another highlight of realme GT 6 is 8T LTPO technology, which optimizes power consumption by lowering the refresh rate for static content and increasing it for smoother images in fast scenes – for example when playing games.
Smartphone movie buffs and mobile game enthusiasts will also be happy to know that realme GT 6 supports HDR and Pro-XDR technologies. The former offers a wider range of colors and brightness levels, while the latter offers deeper blacks and more vivid colors.
Another novelty that the manufacturer boasts is the PWM 2160 Hz dimming technology, which reduces eye fatigue, especially in low light conditions. This feature also adjusts screen settings to suit usage patterns and lighting conditions.

Top-shelf processor and battery with ultra-fast charging
The heart of the GT 6 model is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a slightly “slimmer” variant of one of the fastest mobile systems on the market. According to Qualcomm’s official data, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 delivers a 20 percent increase in CPU performance and a 15 percent increase in GPU performance compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
We also have 16 GB RAM (LPDDR5X) and 512 GB memory for user data (UFS 4.0). Unfortunately, the smartphone does not support external memory cards. In the AnTuTu test, realme GT 6 scored over 1.5 million points, which is a very decent result.
The large battery with a capacity of 5500 mAh can also be impressive, as it will provide two days of operation of the device with a moderate load on a single charge. And speaking of charging, we cannot mention the 120 SUPERVOOC technology, thanks to which we can charge the phone from 0 to 50 percent in just 10 minutes, and from 0 to 100 percent – in about half an hour.
Realme GT 6 also has all the necessary connectivity modules. There is also Wi-Fi 6, NFC with 360-degree technology (to increase the NFC range), Bluetooth 5.4 and Dual Band GPS L1 + L5.
The main camera has a 1/1.95-inch matrix, f/1.9 brightness and 50 Mpix resolution. In addition, there is a 50 Mpix telephoto lens with double optical zoom and an additional ultra-wide-angle lens with an 8 MP matrix (f/2.2).
