Microsoft launched a line of Copilot Plus computers for working with AI
Microsoft has launched a new line of computers focused on working with artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported by The Verge.
The new series is called Copilot Plus – in honor of the AI service from Microsoft. The line will include not only devices from Microsoft, but also from partners – Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, Acer and Asus. The main difference between the presented computers and the rest is the built-in support for artificial intelligence tools.
All first-generation Copilot Plus laptops are equipped with Qualcomm ARM processors. However, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasized that devices based on Intel and AMD processors can also be classified as a new series.
AI support will be provided by a neural processor built into the PC. In particular, he is responsible for the Recall function, when the operating system will record all user actions and provide data upon request. The recordings will be stored locally in the computer’s memory.
One of the requirements for a PC in the Copilot Plus line is to have at least 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. The first Copilot Plus PCs will be presented on June 18th.
Earlier it became known that the American corporation Dell planned to release a laptop computer based on an ARM processor with record autonomy. On one charge the device can work up to 29 hours.
