Android Authority: Android 15 will increase the operating time of smartphones by 3 hours
Thanks to the new version of Android, smartphones will use battery power more efficiently and work 3 hours longer. Android Authority drew attention to this.
Media journalists during the Google I/O conference talked with Google developers and asked them to explain how they increased the battery life of watches based on Wear OS. Company representatives said that this was achieved by optimizing the system and accelerating the time it takes for devices to go into sleep mode.
According to Android project leaders, the same approach will be applied to smartphones. The operating system will accurately detect the time when the device is not in use and go into sleep mode.
This mode first appeared in Android 6, and the company’s engineers constantly improved it. Google said that thanks to optimization, the new OS will go into sleep mode 50 percent faster than Android 14 – the operating time of smartphones will increase by an average of three hours.
In mid-May, insiders said that Dell would release a laptop computer based on an ARM processor with record autonomy. The device can work on a single charge for up to 29 hours.
