The American corporation Apple will launch production of new smartphones in the summer. This was reported by MacRumors with reference to the famous analyst Ross Young.
According to Young, the production of new devices of the brand will begin with the release of displays – one of the main components of the devices. In June, Apple suppliers will launch production of the first batch of front panels of the iPhone 16 series. Then they will be sent to factories where the assembly of finished models will begin.
The insider also revealed information about the sizes of future devices. The line will include four smartphones – the basic iPhone 16 and 16 Plus and the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Since 2020, Apple has released four phone models every fall. At the same time, the display sizes of top devices will increase by 0.2 inches: iPhone 16 Pro – up to 6.3 inches, iPhone 16 Pro Max – up to 6.9 inches.
The screen sizes of the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will not change – they will be 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. All devices should receive an additional “Capture” button for taking photos and videos, faster A-series processors, and Wi-Fi 7 modems. The announcement of the devices is expected in September.
In mid-May, analysts at Altindex said that Samsung had shipped almost three billion smartphones to the market over a decade, ahead of other manufacturers. During the same period, Apple produced 2.203 billion iPhones.
