Following the promulgation of Law No. 32037, which empowers formal workers to withdraw 100% of their Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) until December 31 of this year, many Peruvians are finding out how to access their accounts to Check that your employer has deposited the amount due to you in May.
As is public knowledge, this money, which is paid twice a year, is not yet available to be transferred to other savings accounts and, in this way, be able to release it in its entirety. Remember that CTS is unemployment insurance that is designed to protect workers in the event of resignation or dismissal.
How do I know if I have CTS with my ID?
The withdrawal of 100% of the Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) was authorized for all of 2024. According to Law 32027, “the workers included within the scope of the Single Ordered Text of Legislative Decree 650, Compensation Law for Time of Service Services, approved by Supreme Decree 001-97-TR”, will be able to access their funds after the regulations by the Ministry of Labor are published.
Faced with this situation, millions of Peruvians who are in the private labor regime are already getting ready to release these deposits. As is known, the payment of this economic benefit was made effective in May by employers and the next one is scheduled for November 15. If you want to find out if you really have a CTS account at your financial institution, follow these steps:
- Enter the application of the bank or financial institution where you receive your salary and review your accounts. Once you are there, one or more should appear, among which are your CTS deposits.
- Also, you can go to the financial institution where they deposit your salary. There you must present your ID to check if you have your CTS account, the amount you have accumulated and other details.
- Finally, you have the option of contacting the Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS). This entity has the bank reports of the activated accounts of all workers. You just have to call the number 0-800-10840 or write to their social networks.

CTS 2024: how to withdraw the money that corresponds to me?
The withdrawal of Compensation for Time of Service is not yet available until December of this year. In that sense, formal workers must wait for the publication of the regulations to release the money they have accumulated in their accounts, which would become effective on May 28 at the latest.
However, these are the steps that the Lima Chamber of Commerce recommended on previous occasions to transfer your CTS to your savings account:
- Notify your employer. To do this, send a request to the financial institution where your CTS is deposited. If the procedure is in person, go to the bank and use its ATMs, window or talk to an advisor, carrying your ID and the account card.
- Provide the information requested, such as the account number and bank name.
- Specify whether you want to make a partial or total withdrawal of the money in the CTS, as well as the account in which you want to receive the payment.
- Once you receive the request, the financial institution has a period of two business days to transfer the money to the indicated account.
- Remember that the withdrawal or transfer request will be one time only and will be made until December 31, 2024.
