Google has released a new smartphone, Pixel 8a. This is reported on the company’s website.

The phone represents the brand’s line of affordable A-devices. The model stands out from the rest in that it has a pre-installed Gemini Nano neural network. She can search for objects in photographs and edit images and videos captured on camera. The neural network built into the device is activated by holding down the power button.

Google Pixel 8a also has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and supports a frequency of 120 hertz. The smartphone received a proprietary Tensor G3 processor and 8 gigabytes of RAM in LPDDR5X format. The model has 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal memory.

On the back of the device there is a dual camera with 64 and 13 megapixel lenses. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels. The Pixel 8a has a 4,492 milliamp-hour battery with 18-watt fast charging.

The cost of the smartphone is at least 499 dollars, or about 46 thousand rubles. The model will go on sale on May 14.

At the beginning of May, experts from the publication 9to5Google criticized gadgets with artificial intelligence (AI), which should replace smartphones. According to them, they are worse than even the “worst” phone.
