Apple has announced a new generation of iPad Pro tablets. The main feature of the device was the presence of an OLED display – the company explained that the front panel of the gadget was created using Tandem OLED Display technology. The tablet was equipped with an M4 processor, which was created using a three-nanometer process technology – it is 50 percent more powerful than the M2 chip. The device received a Neural Engine chip with six cores, focused on working with artificial intelligence (AI).

Also, the new professional tablet has a record thin body – 5.3 millimeters. The line includes devices with screens of 11 and 12.9 inches.

In addition, the company introduced a new generation of iPad Air with the M2 processor. According to Apple representatives, the tablets were 50 percent more powerful than previous Air devices on the M1 chip. For the first time, the line includes a model with a large 13-inch display.

The new iPad Air with a 10-inch screen is priced at $599, while the 13-inch version will cost $799. The starting 11-inch iPad Pro will cost $999, the 12.9-inch model is priced at $1,299.

Previously, Canalys analysts recorded an increase in sales in the global tablet market. The market leader remained the American Apple, which received a share of 35.6 percent.
