Canalys: Apple fell to fifth place in the Chinese smartphone market

Huawei sold 11.7 million smartphones in the local market during the reporting period. Canalys analysts called Apple’s fall a failure.
The report’s authors noted that Huawei’s productivity grew by 70 percent over the year. The company managed to successfully reorganize its smartphone business after it was placed on the US sanctions list in 2019.
According to Counterpoint Research, Apple retained third place in the smartphone market in China. Experts said that Huawei is in fourth position.
Earlier, CIRP noted that iPhone sales in the US in the spring fell to a record high. The share of new Apple smartphones relative to other devices was a record low of 33 percent.
