HMD brand’s first smartphone revealed

SuomiMobiili: HMD Pulse will be the first smartphone under the HMD brand

The Chinese company HMD will release the first smartphone under its own brand in the summer. This was reported by the Finnish publication SuomiMobiili.

HMD Global owns the rights to the Nokia brand, but this agreement will expire in 2025. The company has already prepared smartphones that it will produce under its own HMD brand.

The first model revealed by insiders was HMD Pulse – information about the device appeared on the website of the Finnish trading platform Giganti. In addition, the company will present its improved version of the HMD Pulse Pro; media journalists managed to save data about the device.

The model will receive a 6.56-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution. The device will also be released with a Unisoc T606 processor, 6 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. The device will have a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone case will be protected according to the IP52 standard, the gadget will support Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Pulse Pro will also come with a 5000 milliamp-hour battery, Android 14 OS, and a fingerprint scanner built into the power button. The smartphone will cost 179 euros, or about 18 thousand rubles, and the phone will go on sale in July.

At the end of March it became known that the Chinese company HDM Global will present a new version of the Nokia phone. The device will be a re-released version of the Nokia 3210, which was introduced 25 years ago.
