Facebook Messenger with default message encryption

Already at the end of 2023, Meta announced another important news regarding Messenger. All messages sent through the app are now encrypted by default. Previously, you had to enable this feature yourself.

It is worth noting that default encryption is only enabled for private one-on-one conversations. The company is still working to make E2EE (end-to-end encryption) also available for group chats and Instagram conversations in the future.
