AWS was going through this Wednesday with another possible outage.
The cloud computing platform Amazon Web Services (AWS) was undergoing another potential outage on Wednesday, reportedly a situation that could disrupt services at a variety of companies dependent on this system.
DownDetector, which tracks user outage reports, showed more than 1,300 reports of problems with Amazon’s cloud computing network.
Amazon’s status page shared an update very early this morning, which confirmed a “power loss within a single data center within a single Availability Zone (USE1-AZ4) in the US-EAST-1 region.”
The update states: “This is affecting the availability and connectivity to the EC2 instances that are part of the affected data center within the affected Availability Zone.” “We continue to work to address the problem and restore power within the affected data center.”
A major AWS outage occurred earlier this month for approximately five hours, severely impacting many companies that rely on AWS for their operations. (I)
