Nokiamob: HMD Global will release a new version of Nokia 3210 in May
The Chinese company HDM Global will present a new version of the Nokia phone. Nokiamob reports this.
In the social network account of the company that owns the rights to the Nokia brand X a pixelated image of the new phone appeared with the caption “The icon returns in May.” Media journalists studied the publication and suggested that the company was going to re-release the Nokia 3210 model, which was released 25 years ago.
According to enthusiasts, HMD may introduce a new modification of another legendary Nokia phone – the 3310 model. This version is supported by the fact that HDM Global began its business of re-releasing Nokia devices with the 3310. However, the schematically depicted phone looks more like the 3210 than the 3310.
The publication’s journalists suggested that the device would be aimed at a wide range of users. Also, the device will most likely run on KaiOS.
Nokia 3210 is a Nokia cell phone released in 1999. The model is considered one of the most commercially successful: about 160 million copies of the gadget have been sold throughout its history.
At the beginning of 2024, it became known that the Chinese company HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand, will stop producing devices under this brand. Current rights to the brand will expire in 2025.
