The deputy minister also announced that within the next few months a draft special act will be submitted to the Sejm, which will concern strategic investments for state security. – In the coming months, we want to submit a special act to the Marshal’s staff, which will concern strategic investments for state security, so that the Polish Army can implement strategic investments in a very transparent, clear, quick and simple way on military bases and military units – added the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.

Cezary Tomczyk also pointed out that there are noticeable “gross financial shortcomings regarding military infrastructure.” – We will make up for the backlog and deficiencies that resulted from purchases as part of urgent operational needs. The Ministry of National Defense signed a contract for the purchase of the American IBCS command system
On February 29, the management of the Ministry of Defense also signed an agreement for the purchase of the American IBCS command system. This is a system that will enable the integration of elements of the weapons currently being implemented in the Polish army, creating the Wisła and Narew systems, i.e. anti-aircraft and medium- and short-range anti-missile defense.
– Defense of Poland’s airspace is a priority for our government. Poland is the second country, after the United States, that will have the PATRIOT system in the target configuration, said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
IBCS has recently been used in the United States military. It achieved initial combat readiness in American air and missile defense last spring. IBCS is one of the most modern command systems. It collects data from the battlefield and allows you to select the appropriate weapons needed to combat an enemy object or target.
The contract will be implemented until 2031. The contract value is over USD 2.5 billion net. The subject of the contract is the purchase of an integrated anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense command system IBCS, including the necessary command and communication equipment required for 6 Patriot launcher batteries and 23 short-range sets as part of the Narew system acquired as part of the implementation of Phase II of WISŁA.
