Huawei announced a folding smartphone Pocket 2 with support for satellite communications
The Chinese corporation Huawei has announced the folding smartphone Pocket 2. This was reported by GizmoChina with reference to the company’s materials.
The device has a folding design, which is based on a horizontal hinge. According to representatives of the company, to ensure the strength and durability of the gadget, they used aerospace-grade rocket steel and tempered glass in production. The device is equipped with a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2690×1136 pixels and a frequency of 120 hertz. There is an additional 1.15-inch OLED display on the rear panel.
Huawei Pocket 2 is powered by the Kirin 9000S processor, has 12 gigabytes of RAM and from 256 gigabytes to 1 terabyte of internal memory. At the back there is a camera with 50, 12, 8 and 2 megapixel lenses. The released phone supports optical stabilization and 3x optical zoom. The device also received support for satellite communications.
Pocket 2 came with a 4520 milliamp-hour battery with 66-watt fast wired charging. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC. The device runs on HarmonyOS 4.0. The folding smartphone was priced at a minimum of 7,499 yuan, or about 96 thousand rubles.
At the end of February, the Chinese company ZTE introduced Libero Flip, which it called the cheapest folding smartphone on the market. The device was valued at $420, or about 39 thousand rubles
