GFK analysts: replica AirPods have become the most popular headphones among Russians
At the end of last year, the most popular headphones among Russians were replicas of AirPods. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to analysts from the GFK agency.
In total, during the specified period, 157 thousand headphones representing a replica of Apple were sold in the country. The second place in popularity was taken by the imitation of AirPods Max – Hoco W35 headphones, which were sold in the amount of 73 thousand copies.
The popularity of original Apple headphone products in Russia was much lower: in 2023, Russians bought only 20 thousand AirPods. TelecomDaily CEO Denis Kuskov explains this by the high cost of the original, as well as a narrower sales channel. Replicas are sold in large volumes both on marketplaces and in retail, he recalled.
Earlier it became known that the most popular Apple smartphone in 2024 was the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the brand’s most expensive model. In the first half of the year, this model will account for up to 45 percent of sales of all new iPhones.
