Mobiltelefon: three Russian Highscreen smartphones registered with the EEC
Three new smartphones from the Russian brand Highscreen have been registered with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the Mobiltelefon portal reported.
The applicant turned out to be the company SMI Holding, also known as the Sovereign Mobile Initiative. The notification identifies three smartphones under the Highscreen brand: 13M, 13 Max5 and 13 Lite. It is currently unknown what the characteristics of smartphones will be, as well as what operating systems will be installed on them.
It is noted that Google Play will most likely not be available on new products, since due to sanctions restrictions, Russian manufacturers cannot use Google services on their devices. It is assumed that the manufacturer will choose Android with the RuStore application store or the domestic Aurora system.
The Vobis Computer company, which owns the Highscreen brand, was the first to introduce an Android smartphone to the Russian market in 2009. The Highscreen PP5420 model had a three-inch display, a 3 megapixel camera and the Android 1.5 operating system.
In 2014, Vobis Computer announced the most inexpensive smartphone in Russia running the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system – Highscreen WinJoy. The cost of the gadget then was about 3.7 thousand rubles.
