TechRadar: Samsung will introduce a smartphone that folds in three places
Samsung has planned to release a new type of folding smartphone. This was reported by TechRadar.
By information an insider under the nickname Revegnus, the corporation will present a device that has a display that folds in three places. The device will have an S-shaped body and many options for using a flexible screen. The device should be presented at the beginning of the second quarter of 2024.
The authors of the publication noted that this is Samsung’s response to the development of a similar device from Huawei, which became known in October. According to insiders, the Korean corporation should introduce an S-shaped device first to confirm its leadership in the folding smartphone market.
TechRadar journalists recalled that Samsung has a lot of developments dedicated to folding structures. Thus, at CES 2022, the company presented the concept of a folding phone, Flex S, which can fold out in the shape of the letter S. Such a gadget has sensors on hinges that will allow you to synchronize the display of images on the screens.
At the end of January, it became known that Samsung planned to release an affordable foldable smartphone in 2024. The device will be a cheap version of the Galaxy Z Fold.
