Huawei will release an analogue of Apple Vision Pro, which will cost half as much
The Chinese corporation Huawei has planned to release augmented reality glasses, which will be released before the end of the year. This was reported by HuaweiCentral.
The plans of the IT giant were announced by the former marketing director of Meizu, Li Nan. According to him, Huawei planned to create an analogue of Apple’s Vision Pro augmented reality glasses, which went on sale in early February.
Li Nan noted that the device will have micro-OLED screens from Sony with 4K resolution. At the same time, Huawei engineers allegedly promised that the system would work without delays. The author of the message called the main feature of the future device an affordable price – according to him, AR glasses will cost about half as much as Apple Vision Pro. The material mentions a price of 15 thousand yuan, or about 2 thousand dollars, while an Apple device costs at least 3.5 thousand dollars.
However, the Huawei device will be based on its own chips, but will not support eye tracking. The gadget may appear on the market before the end of 2024.
In June, it became known that Huawei owns the rights to the Vision Pro trademark in China. In this regard, Apple’s augmented reality headset, if released in the region, will receive a different name.
