Tens of thousands of Apple devices could be destroyed in Russia. Leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the reason for this will be a ban on the use of Apple equipment for Russian civil servants and officials.
“I was recently in Perm, where the city administration held a tender for the destruction of 26 pieces of equipment (smartphones, computers). The winner has been named, the company “IT Em” LLC, the cost of the work is 1200 rubles! ” — Murtazin wrote.
According to Mobile Research Group estimates, a total of 120 thousand units of Apple equipment will be destroyed in the country in 2024. Their value on the secondary market is about two billion rubles, notes Murtazin.
“You cannot leave the equipment, it must be physically destroyed,” says the analyst.
