Appleinsider: Apple Vision Pro exploit will allow you to create a jailbreak for glasses

Enthusiasts have created the first exploit for the Apple Vision Pro headset. Appleinsider reports this.

Journalists drew attention to the message in X Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) graduate student Joseph Ravichandran. According to the specialist, he discovered an exploit on the network – a program that uses various vulnerabilities. Ravichandran noted that the exploit allows one to bypass the security of the Vision Pro headset.

The MIT graduate student’s materials say that augmented reality glasses react to the launch of an exploit by rebooting. The device then opens to full pass-through mode. Ravichandran said that by hacking Vision Pro, in the near future, enthusiasts will be able to create a jailbreak for the device – an operation not supported by Apple that allows access to the file system.

According to Appleinsider journalists, it is not yet known whether anyone managed to take advantage of the vulnerability of the glasses. The company’s engineers will probably fix the problem in a future update.

Apple previously acknowledged the presence of a critical vulnerability in the Vision Pro headset. The problem was related to WebKit, the browser engine that powers Safari and other web apps.
