Great features will be added to the mObywatel application. No more waiting in lines for hours

Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that the mObywatel application will allow drivers to register their car via smartphone. There will be another option that will be useful for them sooner.

The mObywatel application, created in 2017 by the previous authorities, has gained many interesting functions to this day. The Ministry of Digitization has made available, among others: the ability to fill a prescription, confirm your identity (also at the bank) or check the number of penalty points. The new government does not intend to abandon the project, and more useful functions will appear in the application.

The Minister of Digital Affairs announced new features in mObywatel. This will be a breakthrough

The Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, explained on Tuesday that he wants mObywatel to allow as many matters as possible to be handled via a smartphone. – I want mObywtel to be interoperable, i.e. connected and able to use other services that are available on the market – said Gawkowski.

The politician also announced the addition of a groundbreaking function that will certainly please drivers. The ministry plans to add the possibility of registering a car from a smartphone to mObywatel. – We want to create a situation in which a citizen registers a car by phone instead of at a transport office – explained Gawkowski.

According to the minister, this option will not only make life easier for drivers and shorten the often hours-long process of registering a car at the office, but will also give citizens a sense of stability in the state. – Every citizen knows what it means to spend hours at a transport office. If we shortened this process to several dozen minutes of clicking on the phone and re-registering the vehicle, (…) in my opinion, it would give the feeling of a stable country that is developing – he told PAP. When asked about details, he only said that the new items would appear “in this term of the Sejm.”

“Crash” function in mObywatel. No more filling out paperwork

In mid-January, the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Michał Gramatyka, revealed that soon mObywatel will receive another function useful for drivers – “crash”. It will allow you to fill out an incident report in the event of minor collisions from your smartphone. Specifically, this applies to situations when both parties agree on the guilt and the police’s arrival at the scene is not necessary. Until now, such a protocol had to be completed as a document on paper.
