MacRumors: Apple Vision Pro operation in Russia and other countries will be limited

Apple’s augmented reality headset will not be fully usable in Russia. This was reported by MacRumors.

According to Apple materials, Vision Pro – at least at the start of sales in February – will be prepared only for users in the United States. Thus, the device will only work with an Apple ID account registered in the United States, and the glasses will only support English – localization for other regions is not provided.

In addition, many applications will be useless due to regional restrictions if used in other countries. Apple specialists will also be able to provide technical support to Vision Pro users only in the USA.

In conclusion, media journalists recalled that consumers with vision problems will be able to order special lenses compatible with Vision Pro. However, Apple will sell them only with a medical prescription issued by ophthalmologists in the United States.

Earlier, insider Ming-Chi Ko said that Apple planned global sales of Vision Pro augmented reality glasses until the summer of 2024. As of the end of January, the device is available for order only in the USA.
