Vision Pro glasses received an M2 processor, 16 gigabytes of memory, micro-OLED screens

Apple has announced the exact specifications of the Vision Pro headset. This is reported on the device’s page on the corporation’s website.

Apple revealed exact information about the device in connection with the start of pre-orders for the model in the United States. The company confirmed that the augmented reality glasses received an M2 processor with 8 cores and a graphics accelerator with 10 cores. Vision Pro has 16 gigabytes of RAM. In addition, the gadget is equipped with a new R1 processor, which processes incoming data from 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones.

The device has dual micro-OLED displays that display more than 23 million pixels and cover 92 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The screens support refresh rates of up to 100 hertz and allow video playback at 30 frames per second. The device is available with options of 256 and 512 gigabytes, as well as 1 terabyte.

In addition, Vision Pro supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, HDR10, surround sound technology with dynamic head tracking. The autonomy of the device is a maximum of 2.5 hours. The starting model will cost $3,499, the version with 1 terabyte of memory costs $3,899.

Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Ko said that Apple planned global sales of Vision Pro augmented reality glasses until the summer of 2024. The device will probably be available for purchase in Europe and other regions of the world in the spring.
