Elon Musk landed at the John Paul II Kraków-Balice airport late on Sunday evening. The billionaire appeared in Poland at the invitation of the European Jewish Association (EJA) and will take part in a discussion on anti-Semitism, which will be led by right-wing publicist Ben Shapiro on Monday after 4 p.m.
Elon Musk’s luxury machine. Rich people love this plane
A lot of sensation was caused not only by the presence of the richest man in the world in Poland, but also by the machine with which he flew to Krakow. This is a Gulfstream G650 private plane that Musk bought a few years ago. It is the largest and most expensive aircraft of Gulfstream Aerospace, and its market value is estimated at USD 65-70 million. This is one of the billionaires’ favorite means of transport. As he reminds, the same model is in their collections, among others: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
As the portal notes, the machine offers a number of luxurious amenities for the rich. On board there is, among others: a kitchen equipped with a microwave and a convection oven, a touch screen constituting the control center of the passenger compartment, comfortable light leather seats that can be swiveled or folded into a flat bed, wooden furniture, a private VIP room and two TVs (one in the kitchen and the other in the living room) . Of course, there are also tables that allow you to transform the plane into a sky restaurant.
What’s more, the interior can be customized to your needs at the ordering stage. The only drawback is the lack of a shower. This shouldn’t be surprising though. Only first-class passengers of several airlines around the world can enjoy a bathroom with a shower (and only in the largest units).
According to data provided by the manufacturer itself, the Gulfstream G650 is able to fly almost 13,000 km. km on one refueling, and its cruising speed is less than 960 km/h (maximum over 1,100 km/h). The ceiling is approximately 15.5 km above the Earth. The plane can take on board (depending on the version and the needs of its owner) a maximum of 19 passengers (and two pilots).
The flight to Poland cost Elon Musk over PLN 26,000. dollars
Flying Musk’s private plane involved a huge expense. According to data published by the elonmusksjet channel on Instagram (), the billionaire flew to Europe from Austin, Texas and landed at the London-Luton airport, from where he then went to Krakow.
During the flight from the USA to England, the entrepreneur covered 7.9 thousand kilometers. km, and his machine burned 14.7 thousand km. liters of fuel, which cost the billionaire approximately PLN 21.7 thousand. dollars. The next short section of the journey to Poland is 3.2 thousand kilometers. liters of fuel (1.4 thousand km) and another 4.7 thousand. dollars. Musk had to pay PLN 26,400 for fuel alone. dollars (almost PLN 106,000), which is – as we calculated – more than the average Pole will earn “on hand” in 19 months (according to the average salary of PLN 7,545 gross / PLN 5,474 net in 2023).
