Marek Tymiński, general director of CI Games, announced the planned layoffs on the X platform. As he wrote, the company’s authorities had to make a “difficult but necessary decision” to lay off as much as 10 percent. team. However, this was necessary to “maintain business strength and stability,” Tymiński wrote and thanked employees for their contribution to the development of the company. However, he did not provide any further details about the planned layoffs.

How, in the third quarter of 2023, CI Games recorded a significant increase in revenue from PLN 10.79 million to PLN 36.88 million and improved its operating result from PLN 4.74 million loss to PLN 2.32 million profit. However, the company’s net profitability still remained negative, although the loss decreased from PLN 3.86 million to PLN 1.23 million due to high company costs.

Recently, CI Games admitted that their latest major title Lords of The Fallen (premiered in October 2023) recorded lower than expected revenues. Although the title sold over a million copies in the first 10 days and this result is satisfactory, expectations in terms of revenue were higher – said Marek Tymiński, quoted by the website.

CI Games is not the only Polish game producer that . By the end of the first quarter of 2024, almost 9% of people are expected to part with the creators of “Cyberpunk 2077”. employees (approx. 100 people).
