Sony was present at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024. On this occasion, the company presented solutions for visual production and spatial content creation; interact with fan communities in areas such as anime, sports and video games; and entertainment and safety initiatives to advance mobility.

The Sony Exhibition sought to empower creators to do more, discover more, and create more by empowering them with innovative technologies.

Sony flashlight

This is a facility located in Los Angeles, California, United Statesand which specializes in film production that will make it easier for filmmakers to realize their ideas creative vision.

This space will provide creatives from the film world with various tools, making the film production process more comprehensive flowing at the same time it reduces the pressure generated by the conventional process.

Video game

At this convention, Sony presented a smaller edition of the PS5 console. In addition to the PlayStation Portal remote, the Pulse Explore wireless headset, the Access controller and the upcoming Pulse Elite wireless headset.

CES attendees had exclusive access to try out the game Gran Turismo 7 on both PS5 and PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) in immersive racing capsules. As well as knowing the “No Return” mode of The Last of Us Part II: Remastered in advance.

In addition, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) showed off its latest multiplayer, cross-platform VR game, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, a world-building expansion of the beloved Ghostbusters universe.

Yoshida San, president and CEO of Sony, said they are proud to be working on the adaptation of Nintendo’s flagship video game franchise, The Legend of Zelda, on the big screen.

Seeker

Sony Corporation has announced that it is developing an innovative Extended Reality (XR) headset, which will be available later this year. This device, which integrates 4K OLED microdisplays, is designed for creating three-dimensional content in areas such as entertainment and industrial design. Thanks to the advanced technology, 3D objects and human facial expressions can be displayed realistically and in high definition.

Users can view and modify full 3D models within an XR environment, with the ability to integrate third-party 3D creation applications and perform remote assessments in real time.

Mobility

The technology company presented what can help with safe driving. “Safety Cocoon” is a concept to improve safety in vehicles by detecting the vehicle environment in 360 degrees in various daily driving situations, allowing drivers to take advance measures to avoid risks.
