Gino Farfán, Special Envoy to Las Vegas
Víctor Díaz, better known as MarcianoTech spoke to EL UNIVERSO at CES 2024, the world’s most important technology fair taking place in Las Vegas (Nevada). Díaz is a Dominican content creator with over 2 million subscribers on YouTube; The platforms are dedicated to the world of technology.
What does CES 2024 mean to you?
It is the highest pinnacle of what technology is; A lot of attention is paid to artificial intelligence. This is going to change everything. I recently heard a CEO say that coding is dead because AI will allow us to program everything in a more natural way.
How many editions of the event have you attended?
I’ve been coming for over 10 years, this would be number eleven. It all started a long time ago, in 2013.
How has CES evolved?
The CES actually has the technologies on display that are reaching the streets little by little. This was where I first drove a vehicle that wasn’t manipulated by a human and these are things we already see there (like the Tesla).
What are you looking forward to most about this edition of CES?
I hope that in this edition I can continue to see how companies will apply artificial intelligence; that’s what really interests me the most.
Do you have any fears about AI?
Not at all, I’m super open with technology. I saw some robots dancing strangely and I was a little scared, but I see technology as something that can be used for good or for bad, but I think 80 to 90% of it will be used for good. (JO)
