Apple, but did not reveal the exact release date or availability details. Now this information has finally been revealed, although there is still one unknown.
Apple Vision Pro coming in February. The price is amazing
On Monday, the company announced that Apple Vision Pro will appear in stores in the United States on February 2 this year. The pre-sale of the gadget will start earlier, on January 19. The device will be available in all Apple Stores in the US and in the manufacturer’s online store.
The era of spatial computing has arrived. Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user interface will redefine the way we connect, create and discover
– wrote Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, quoted in the company’s announcement.
The manufacturer also confirmed the price of the new goggles. As previously announced, Vision Pro will cost $3,499 overseas (equivalent to approximately PLN 13,850). And this is the net price, i.e. before adding state tax. The price of the goggles includes a set of accessories quite rich for Apple – including: front cover, cloth, USB-C charging cable and AC adapter in the same standard.
Of course, there are also additionally paid options. The goggles cannot be used with prescription glasses, so people with vision impairments will have to order additional prescription lenses from Zeiss. For such a pleasure, you will have to add $99 or $149 (PLN 392 or 590) to your bill.
Apple boasts that the new glasses will be a breakthrough that will help us connect the virtual world with the real one. The goggles will be controlled using eye movements, commands and gestures and will allow the user to interact with virtual content against the background of the real image in front of the user’s eyes. The manufacturer (traditionally) also boasted that the goggles will be an extremely ecological product. As mentioned, the aluminum from which the frame and battery housing are made comes from 100 percent. recycled, and the material from which the headband is made will be 70%. recycled.
Unfortunately, there are still some unknowns. Apple still does not reveal whether the gadget will ever be available outside the United States. Unofficially, it is said that the chances of this happening – at least in the case of the first generation of Vision Pro – are rather slim, and one of the reasons is the excessive price of the device. It can be safely assumed that if sales started in Poland, after adding VAT and all fees for a new Apple gadget, you would have to pay close to PLN 20,000. zloty. Apple may have concluded that Vision Pro will be too expensive for the average person to afford anyway.
