Problems with the GPS system also occurred last New Year’s Eve weekend. According to data presented by the specialized website GPSJAM, large tracts of land in Finland had problems with receiving the GPS signal on December 31. The data presented on the map indicate that a high level of disruption (above 10%) is recorded mainly in the eastern parts of the country and in the Gulf of Finland. There were also moderate disruptions in the central part of these countries (ranging from 2 to 10 percent), although much of the area, especially northern Finland, is marked in green (less than 2 percent).
