The Verge: Microsoft has released Copilot for Android smartphones
Microsoft has released the Copilot service for Android smartphones as a separate application. This was reported by The Verge.
Copilot is a service from Microsoft that uses artificial intelligence (AI). Previously, the program was only available in the browser or Bing app. Media authors noted that the company did not announce the appearance of the service, but simply added it to the Google Play store.
Competitor ChatGPT gives users access to the chatbot and image generator DALL-E 3. The app also allows access to the OpenAI GPT-4 model, which is a paid model if used through ChatGPT.
Journalists from The Verge suggested that Microsoft will soon release a Copilot client for iOS users. Currently, iPhone and iPad owners can access Copilot through a browser.
At the end of November, insiders said that Microsoft intended to improve the built-in neural network assistant Copilot. Thus, the service will work based on the new GPT-4 Turbo model.
