Hankyung: Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphones will cost at least $799
Samsung will not raise prices for new flagship smartphones. This was reported by the Korean publication Hankyung.
An insider report states that the company will unveil three smartphone models at the Samsung Unpacked event in January. The corporation should release the basic flagship Galaxy S24, a model with a larger display Galaxy S24 Plus and an advanced flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.
It also follows from the disclosed data that the cost of new Samsung devices will remain at the level of old models. The starting Galaxy S24 will cost at least $799, the Galaxy S24+ will cost $999, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will cost $1,199. Prices for options with additional memory will be higher.
According to experts, by keeping prices at the same level, Samsung intends to increase sales by 10 percent in the recovering smartphone market. According to the company’s plans, the Galaxy S24 line will sell 33 million devices.
At the beginning of December, insiders revealed the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone, the announcement of which is scheduled for January. The device will receive a titanium body, an updated telephoto lens, a new cooling system and support for the Wi-Fi 7 communication standard.
