MacRumors: iPhone 16 will get a vertical camera and an “Action” button
The new Apple smartphone will have a vertically oriented camera. This was reported by MacRumors.
Media journalists received early prototypes of the iPhone 16. According to the authors, Apple is currently testing two prototypes of the device that differ in details. The most likely option has a rear camera inscribed in a vertical block. According to experts, this prototype is a bit reminiscent of the iPhone X, released in 2017.
Engineers are also testing an option in which the smartphone will receive the design of the iPhone 12 – two camera lenses will be located on top of each other, and not diagonally, as in current models. From the design information revealed, the phone will also feature an Action button that the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have.
At the same time, globally, the new smartphone will not differ much from the iPhone 15. Scheduled for the fall of 2024, the device will receive a 6.1-inch OLED display, a Dynamic Island screen cutout, and a USB-C port.
Earlier it became known that Apple proposed to the EU to add third-party payment systems to the iPhone. It is believed that in this way the company will be able to avoid heavy fines in Europe.
