Colombian authorities have arrested in Bogotá the Venezuelan Wanda del Valle Bermúdez Viera, known by the alias “La bebecita del crime”, leader of ‘Los llaneros de sangre sangre’, a faction of El Aragua Train.

This was reported on Thursday by police, who detailed that the woman was being held in a neighborhood in the south of the city and that she was wanted in Peru for crimes of conspiracy and offering the crime of being a hitman.

She is also part of the ‘most wanted’ list, which is why the government of Peru has sent a petition to Interpol.

Girlfriend of “Damn Cris”

This woman was the girlfriend of a criminal and alleged member of the criminal gang El Tren de Aragua, nicknamed “Maldito Cris”, who was killed by police in Lima days after causing the death of a municipal guard who tried to arrest him.

“The baby of crime” is accused of collecting money through extortion from traffickers, and of selling and distributing firearms.

Authorities also accuse her of coordinating hitmen and participating in the trafficking of Colombian and Venezuelan women who were sexually exploited in several countries in the region.

Last August, a court in the Lima district of San Juan de Lurigancho ordered his seven-day pre-trial detention for allegedly offering $40,000 to kill the head of the Peruvian National Police’s homicide unit.

For this reason, the Peruvian Ministry of the Interior had placed her on its list of ‘The Most Wanted’ and offered a reward of 150,000 soles (about $40,000) for information that could locate and arrest her. (JO)
