Appleinsider: iPhone SE introduced in 2016 declared obsolete
Apple has moved the original iPhone SE smartphone to the list of obsolete devices. Appleinsider reports this.
The smartphone was considered obsolete because its sales ended more than five years ago. From this moment on, Apple will no longer provide services to its owners: provide technical support and repairs. Spare parts for the device will also no longer be produced.
Joining the SE on the list are the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, released in 2017, and the Mickey Beats Solo3 wireless headphones.
The SE smartphone was introduced in the spring of 2016 as an affordable alternative to flagships, such as the iPhone 6s. The device received a 4.7-inch IPS screen, a Home button with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, an Apple A9 processor and 2 gigabytes of RAM, a single camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels and a battery with a capacity of 1715 milliamp-hours. Later, Apple introduced the second and third generations of the device.
At the beginning of December, it became known that the flagship iPhone 14 Pro had fallen in price on the Russian market. If at the start of sales the device was valued at 120 thousand rubles, then at the beginning of winter it could be purchased for 102-103 thousand.
