Yadriani Briceño and Yoselín Yeniré Morillo were more than friends. They were comrades. The difference between them was a year, but an unusual guilt led one to kill the other.
The years of friendship mattered little. Let alone the sacred bond of compadrazgo.
The death of Yoselín Yeniré, 29, was horrific.
His comrade, Yadriani, 30 years old, ended an event that took place in the urbanization of Prados de La Encrucijada, sector La Trinitaria, in Cagua, in Aragua, a state about two hours’ drive from Caracas, Venezuela.
A friend invites Dubraska for a walk to a river and then she is found dead and without eyes: the Venezuelan scientific police arrest two people involved and one of them is a medical student
Discussion between comrades and cruelty
On Friday, December 1, 2023, Yadriani ended the days of her friend and comrade in a fit of rage.
Both had an argument because Yoselín “demanded the payment of $500 from her friend Yadriani,” reported the national head of the Venezuelan Scientific Police, Commissioner Douglas Rico.
The collection of the foreign currency debt ended in tragedy. Rico said on his social networks that Yadriani ‘refused to pay’.
However, last Friday, Yadriani summoned his comrade to meet him at an abandoned house belonging to his ex-mother-in-law there in Cagua.
The refusal to pay made the discussion even more bitter and then came the worst decision: Yadriani took a block of clay and hit his comrade on the forehead. It left her, understandably, unconscious.
Yadriani Briceño did not stop. In the words of Commissioner Douglas Rico, this time he “took a masonry shovel and caused an injury to his neck, leaving an open wound.”
He then tied her hands with flannel and poured kerosene on her. Finally he set it on fire.

Yadriani fled and took his comrade’s cell phone.
Within a few hours, the Cicpc arrested the perpetrator, who was under the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Aragua, Rico reported.

“Macabre Ghost”
On social networks, users were surprised by this new murder.
This murder is known after the case, also in Aragua, of the death of a student by two young people. One of those involved said he felt ‘anger’ because the victim thought he was very intelligent.
Mairet Arana: “What a macabre spirit, that $500 is going to cost you a lot in jail.”
Two women, Mariángel and Juliver, agreed: “Why don’t you have a mental health campaign in Aragua?” and “In Aragua, people need psychiatric help and emotional support.”
While Betzabeth Sánchez said: “Money is no one’s friend, don’t lend money or say you have it.” (JO)
