Canalys: iPhone 14 was the most popular smartphone in the third quarter

Analyzing the supply of devices, the authors of the report stated that the most popular smartphone in the world was the iPhone 14. Released in the fall of 2022, the model held the market leadership since the first quarter of 2023. The second position is occupied by the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the third by the iPhone 14 Pro.
The top 5 also included the iPhone 13, introduced in 2021, and the Samsung Galaxy A14. The top ten included the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, Samsung Galaxy A54, Samsung Galaxy A04e, Xiaomi Redmi 12C and Samsung Galaxy A34.
Samsung remained the leader in the global smartphone market, with a 20 percent share. Below are Apple – 17 percent, Xiaomi – 14 percent. Oppo and Transsion rounded out the top five, both receiving nine percent.
The smartphone market declined by one percent in the third quarter of the year. According to Canalys analysts, the situation in the industry has stabilized ahead of the holidays and sales season.
At the end of November, Canalys experts predicted a recovery in the smartphone market. Analysts believe that the market will grow in 2024.
