Realme has shipped 200 million smartphones in five years

According to the company, this mark was achieved five years after the company was founded. Realme is owned by Chinese corporation BBK Electronics, which also owns smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo.
According to Counterpoint Research, only five companies have shipped 200 million smartphone units faster than Realme. They turned out to be Vivo, Huawei, Samsung and Apple. In total, as of the end of 2023, 14 smartphone manufacturers around the world had sold more than 200 million units of their devices on the market.
“We are extremely proud that we have managed to become one of the top 10 global brands over the past five years,” said Realme Marketing Director Xu Qi. The company’s top manager also noted that Realme appeared at a time when there were about 700 smartphone brands on the market. According to Counterpoint Research, there will be approximately 250 smartphone brands in the market in 2023.
At the end of November, the Chinese company Redmi, part of the Xiaomi Group, reported the sale of its billionth smartphone. The Redmi brand appeared in 2013.
