Many users complain that with Windows they receive a whole package of applications, often completely unnecessary. Not everyone wants to use e.g. Teams messenger or the OneDrive cloud, but uninstalling these types of programs is impossible. At least for a while.
Microsoft gave in. You will finally be able to get rid of unwanted applications
As reported, Microsoft is preparing to release an update for Windows 11 that will give users more control over the system. The company will finally allow us to decide for ourselves whether we want to keep or remove many of the pre-installed Windows 11 applications. Until now, these types of programs could not be uninstalled on our own.
The website indicates that currently the change is still being checked as part of one of the test compilations of the system, but it will probably soon be available on the computers of all Windows 11 users. The application adds an “Uninstall” button (displayed after clicking the right mouse button) to at least several system applications , among others for Camera, Cortana, Photos, People, and Remote Desktop. In this way, Microsoft wants to allow you to better customize your own working environment with the system.
An important decision by Microsoft for users
In practice, the update may turn out to be a small breakthrough in the system. Microsoft is known for quite aggressively “encouraging” (e.g. through pop-ups) to use its own applications and services, which are often completely unnecessary. For example, the Cortana assistant application installed by default in Windows is not available in Polish and does not work in Poland, but we still cannot get rid of it from our computers. Thanks to the new update, we will finally be able to uninstall programs that only clutter the operating system.
