There will be changes on Disney Plus. The platform sends messages to users

Disney Plus users in Poland started receiving messages about changes to the regulations. They concern, among others, advertising – the changes will come into force within 30 days. The platform also takes a strong stance on account sharing. In this case, it follows the example of Netflix.

Disney Plus has already informed German users about changes in the regulations, now it’s Poland’s turn. The message concerns account sharing and advertising on the website. The platform reserves the right to publish short advertising materials even for holders of packages that exclude them.

“The good news is that you don’t have to take any action, but please read this notice carefully and keep it for future reference. All of these changes will take effect within 30 days. If you do not agree to these changes, you may cancel Disney+ subscription. If you are on an annual subscription, have more than a month left and would like to cancel your subscription, please call (+48) 22-103-37-11 within 30 days of receiving this email mail. If you do not cancel your subscription within these 30 days or do not contact us as described, your subscription will continue – explains Disney+ quoted by .

Advertising materials

In the announcement, the platform highlights important changes in the presentation of promotional materials. “We are introducing new names for new subscriptions (if available in your market) and also providing the ability to upgrade to a different subscription where permitted. Among other things, we include clarifying that ‘ad-free’ subscriptions can still include short promotional content , brand placements or sponsorship materials, including advertising included in live content or special events that include traditional advertising breaks. We are also adding a new clause explaining what happens if we terminate a subscription you are using,” the release reads.

Account sharing

. From the new year, this policy will also cover Poland; in this case, the platform follows the example of Netflix.

In the new terms and conditions, Disney Plus will prohibit “sharing your login or account information with third parties other than as expressly permitted in section 1 c.” contracts. What is this point talking about? “You may not share your subscription outside of your Household unless permitted by your Subscription Plan. ‘Household’ means the set of devices associated with your primary residence and used by the people living there. Additional rules may apply to certain Subscription Plans use. We may analyze the use of your account to verify compliance with this Agreement. If we determine that you have violated this Agreement, we may limit or terminate your access to the Service and/or take any other steps provided in this Agreement, we read.
