Your trusted profile may expire soon. This is the last call for its extension

On October 31, all trusted profiles that were automatically extended during the pandemic expire. If you want your PZ to remain valid, you should extend it yourself. This can be done online.

For several weeks, the Ministry of Digitization has been sending text messages regarding expiring trusted profiles. The situation concerns people whose PZ expired during the coronavirus pandemic, but were later automatically extended.

However, now they must be extended independently, as the state of epidemic threat has already been lifted. And there is very little time left for this, because – as the Ministry of Digital Affairs reminds – the validity of all automatically extended trusted profiles expires on Tuesday, October 31.

If, after logging in to your trusted profile, in the Creation/extension method field you see the information ‘Trusted profile automatically extended for the duration of the pandemic’, your profile will be invalidated on October 31, 2023, even if you see a different profile expiration date. You can extend the validity of your profile yourself online

– we read on the website of the Ministry of Digitization.

The trusted profile expires. What will happen if we do not extend it?

Of course, if we do not meet this deadline and do not manage to extend the trusted profile before November 1, the world will not collapse on our heads. We will still be able to apply for a new profile, but it will involve more formalities, which it is better to avoid.

It is also worth remembering that the lack of an active trusted profile may make it very difficult to use public administration services – such as submitting applications, appeals or complaints online.

The trusted profile expires. How to extend it?

1) To extend the validity of a trusted profile, first go to the website pz.gov.pl.

2) Then log in to your account. You can do this using your previously assigned username and password or by using online banking.

3) After logging in, click the blue arrow in the upper right corner of the screen, and then select Trusted profile from the drop-down list.

4) In Profile Details, select Extend validity or change details and then Next.

5) You will see a window with your contact details. Confirm them or edit them if they have changed.

6) Enter the authorization codes received via SMS and email, then select “Next”.

7) If the codes are correct, you will see confirmation that the validity of your trusted profile has been extended by 3 years. You will also receive a confirmation email.

8) Before logging out, go to Profile Details and then find your Username in the User Details section. Remember it because it will be useful the next time you log in.

If you have previously logged in to a trusted profile via electronic banking, after extending its validity, the connection with the bank account will disappear. From now on, you will log in to PZ only with your username/e-mail, and the authorization method for logging in to your profile will change to SMS with a code or push notification in the mObywatel application (if you have used this function before).
