Apple has increased prices for subscriptions to its digital services. CNBC TV channel reports this.

The corporation noted that the changes will affect the United States and “some international markets.” According to the new pricing policy, the cost of the Apple One subscription increased from 16.95 to 19.95 dollars per month, for the Apple TV+ service – from 6.99 to 9.99 dollars, Apple Arcade – from 4.99 to 6.99, Apple News+ – from $9.99 to $12.99.

As a Lenta.ru correspondent noted, the cost of subscription to digital services has increased almost all over the world, except for Russia. Here, the cost of Apple One remained at 365 rubles per month, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade – 199 rubles per month. Apple suspended operations in Russia in March 2022.

Media journalists noticed that the American company is raising prices for the Apple Arcade and Apple News+ services for the first time since their launch in 2019.

CNBC analysts noted that Apple’s paid subscriptions segment generated $21.21 billion in revenue in the fiscal third quarter. Thus, subscriptions turned out to be the corporation’s second largest business after the iPhone. Sales of smartphones brought the company $39.67 billion during the same period.

In August, Apple representatives announced that the number of paid subscription users had reached one billion. The number of active users of brand devices at the beginning of 2023 reached two billion.
