Izvestia: iPhone 15 fell in price by 15 percent or more on the Russian market

New Apple smartphones have dropped noticeably in price in Russia a month after they went on sale. Izvestia reports this.

As the authors of the publication noted, prices for devices have decreased by 15 percent or more – some models have fallen in price by almost 30 percent. Journalists cited the reason for this as the variability of purchase prices for devices: Apple no longer sets prices in the Russian Federation and sellers can sell smartphones at discounts.

The material says that the starting iPhone 15 fell in price to 82.5 thousand rubles, the iPhone 15 Pro with a 256 gigabyte drive was available for 128.5 thousand rubles – the discount was 28 percent. The top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max has fallen in price by the same amount.

“This is probably due to the start of active sales of new Apple products on marketplaces,” commented business analyst at the Fplus IT holding Artur Makhlayuk on the price reduction. According to TelecomDaily CEO Denis Kuskov, there is no shortage of smartphones. Kuskov noted that prices began to decline, since at the start of sales “they were artificially raised.” “There are really a lot of offers on the market now, prices now do not depend in any way on Apple,” said Content-Review CEO Sergei Polovnikov.

Earlier it became known that the iPhone 15 Pro fell in price for the first time on the Russian market. The price of the device dropped to 125 thousand rubles, while at the start of sales the smartphone was offered for 150-170 thousand rubles.
