The tech mogul assured that he would donate a billion dollars to the platform if its name was changed to ‘Dickipedia’ (which would translate into Spanish as Penepedia).
Musk’s controversial suggestion came from a request for donations from The Wikimedia Foundation, a nonprofit organization that hosts Wikipedia. The Tesla CEO questioned whether the portal needs more money, asking his followers on X to question why he was asking for donations.

It is not the first time that Elon Musk and Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, debates on the Internet. Musk has already made it clear that he doubts the reliability of the articles published on the portal, while Wales accuses him of restricting freedom of expression on his social network.
The discussion did not escalate, but Wales will certainly not accept the proposal to change the name Wickipedia to Dickipedia.
