In recent days, many people have received text messages from the Ministry of Digitization informing them that their trusted profile will expire on October 31. As the ministry explains, the validity of a trusted profile is 3 years. During the pandemic, it was automatically extended.
However, the state of epidemic threat has already been lifted, which means that people who previously benefited from the automatic extension of the validity of a trusted profile should now perform the same operation on their own.
If, after logging in to your trusted profile, in the Creation/extension method field you see the information ‘Trusted profile automatically extended for the duration of the pandemic’, your profile will be invalidated on October 31, 2023, even if you see a different profile expiration date. You can extend the validity of your profile yourself online
– we read on the website of the Ministry of Digitization.
The trusted profile expires. How to extend it?

5) If the codes are correct, you will see confirmation that the validity of your trusted profile has been extended by 3 years. You will also receive a confirmation email.
6) Before logging out, go to Profile Details and then find your Username in the User Details section. Remember it because it will be useful the next time you log in.
IMPORTANT! If you have previously logged in to a trusted profile via electronic banking, after extending its validity, the connection with the bank account will disappear. From now on, you will log in to PZ only with your username/e-mail, and the authorization method for logging in to your profile will change to SMS with a code or push notification in the mObywatel application (if you have used this function before).

If you want to return to logging in to PZ using your bank account details, log in to your trusted profile, and then change your identity provider to your bank in the Profile details section.
What is a trusted profile (PZ)?
A trusted profile is a means of electronic identification. Thanks to it, you can confirm your identity online and sign a document with an electronic signature, if it is necessary to handle a given matter. Using the PZ, you can submit an application, application, appeal or complaint without having to print the document, sign it manually and scan it. An electronic signature has the same weight as a handwritten signature.
