“My mother doesn’t love me.” If it hurts to read this, can anyone imagine how Lucio, a fifteen-year-old boy who is looking for a family that will open doors for him and give him love, carries that suffering in his chest.
Lucio is Argentinian and lives in the Miguel Magone Home, located in Corrientes, a province of Argentina.
His story, as reported in Infobae, moves everyone. Recently, the teen “went to a juvenile court and asked the owner, Dr. Carolina Macarrein, to find him a family.”
When asked why he was looking for a family, he replied that “his mother doesn’t want him.”
Growing up without motherly love
Lucio said he was born in Buenos Aires and when he was six or seven years old his mother took him to Corrientes.
He grew up in homes that resemble “Miguel Magone.”
“I was in many houses. The first time was when I was six years old, there with Tía Amanda, then they took me to Domingo Savio and I was there from 7 to 8, I don’t remember. I came back in when yours was 9 or 10. Then at 12 noon and again at 1 p.m. And from there I am here,” the boy said in a video published by Infobae.
Although his mother was physically present, she was far from giving him the love that only mothers can give.
“My mother always told me, ‘I’m going to change, I’m going to change,’ and she never changed. And well, if you’re not going to change, that’s it! If you’re not going to love me back, then that’s it. There will be other people who love me,” he said.
Adulthood overwhelms him at the age of 15. He doesn’t want to be close to the woman who brought him back into the world.
What did Lucio’s mother do that caused the estrangement?
– “The way you treat me,” he said, according to Infobae.
Sometimes I would come home and she would get mad at me and tell me, “Hey, if you don’t like it, go with another family or get adopted because you like it.”

I really like to study. I always go to school, I never miss school and I do all my homework.
I like to do many things, for example going to the gym, doing sports activities like volleyball, or other activities like board games, chess and things like that.

According to Infobae, on Saturdays Lucio can “visit a family who will host him on the weekend. He has a pet there, a kitten named Goku.
From her days with her biological mother, she ‘misses Rocco, a dog she hasn’t seen in ‘years’.
The call for its adoption is open. The video of this awakened Argentinian teenager went viral, he admits.
Quoted in Infobae, he answers: “Many people wrote to me (…).” However, he regrets that some people distort the message’s purpose: “They think I’m poor. I don’t like that, they think I need things and the truth is I don’t. Yes, I have difficulties. But I’m not poor… what I want is to be part of a united family.” (JO)
