Apple announced Pencil stylus with magnetic mount and USB-C
Apple has announced a new Pencil stylus for iPad tablets. This is reported on the company’s website.
The device differs from the Pencil 2 stylus, which the company introduced in 2018, by the presence of a USB-C port. Thus, the device can be charged from iPhone and iPad. In addition, the accessory can be attached to the tablet body using a magnet.
The new gadget turned out to be cheaper than Pencil 2, which costs $129. Apple Pencil with USB-C will be available for $79. Therefore, it does not have several advanced features – it does not have pressure sensitivity, does not have a double-tap option, and also cannot be charged wirelessly.
The stylus works with the 10th generation iPad, 6th generation iPad mini, 4th generation iPad Air, iPad Pro and newer tablets. The accessory will go on sale in early November.
Previously, representatives of the power bank rental service “Take Charge!” conducted a study in which Russians explained the reasons for their reluctance to buy the iPhone 15. The main reasons for refusing the new device were its high cost and the respondents’ desire to buy a smartphone from another brand.
